New tutor of the percussion section
Attention percussionists! Due to personal reasons, Ms Ulrike Stadler will not be able to conduct the percussion workshops at ILYO 2022 this year. Don't worry, we have a great tutor for you. He boasts extensive experience (over 30 years of professional work), has performed in the most prestigious concert halls in the world, incl. Carnegie Hall, Theater de Champs-Elysees, or the Sydney Opera, and worked with conductors such as: Lorin Maazel, Charles Dutoit, Yehudi Menuhin and Jerzy Maksymiuk, to name just a few. Meet Piotr Kostrzewa – the new tutor of the percussion section of ILYO 2022.
He is a member of one of the finest orchestras in the country – the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, with which he has recorded over 200 albums for world leading record labels: Decca, Deutsche Gramofon, EMI, Sony, including the complete Beethoven and Schubert symphonies, Rossini and Mozart overtures conducted by the excellent Yehudi Menuhin. He collaborated not only with the greatest names of classical music, such as: Martha Argerich, James Galway, Nigel Kennedy, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Nelson Freire and Shlomo Mintz, but also with famous popular artists, incl. with Ryszard Rynkowski, Zbigniew Namysłowski and Krzesimir Dębski.
